File Inventory Agent Configuration
The File Inventory Policy discovers information about software programs running on managed computers.
To manually run the File Inventory Policy on a managed computer at any time, perform the following steps:1.
- Enable Power Management on the Altiris Agent. For instructions, see Notification

- On any grid listing managed computers, a report, collection, or Resource Manager, right-click the computer name.

- Select File Inventory > File Inventory Policy > Run File Inventory.
To access the File Inventory Policy1.
- In the Altiris Console, select the Configuration tab.

- In the left pane, select Configuration > Solution Settings > Software Management > File Inventory > Windows > File Inventory Agent Configuration.

To create a new File Inventory Agent Configuration policy

- In the Altiris Console, select the Configuration tab.

- In the left pane, select Configuration > Solution Settings > Software

- In the left pane, right-click File Inventory Agent Configuration and select New
> File Inventory Policy.
