Arellia Workflow Designer {noprint} {note:title=Linked to Product} This page location is mapped from the *Help* > *Online Documentation* menu in the product. {note} {noprint} {tip} Review the [System Requirements] page to ensure all prerequisite software is installed on the managed computers before installing the agents. {tip} h4. Overview The Workflow Designer is used to view and edit various task activities installed by Arellia products. These activities are stored as items in the database and edited via a Windows application. h4. Installation Installation of the Workflow Designer is done automatically via a ClickOnce application when you navigate to a workflow activity task under the *Tasks* tab in the *Security Manager Console*. This installs a Start menu shortcut while it also launches the Workflow Designer and displays the configuration of the activity. Any updates will be automatically installed to ensure the most current designer is being used. h4. Editing Activities # Browse to the *Security Manager Console* # Click on the *Tasks* tab at the top # Navigate to a workflow activity task # Click *Run Workflow Designer* The first time you click this, you will be presented with an option to install it. Click OK to accept. You should now see the activity within the Workflow Designer application. # Review and make any changes necessary. # Choose *File > Save* to save these changes back to the server. # Close the Workflow Designer application. h4. Creating New Activities # Browse to the *Security Manager Console* # Click on the *Tasks* tab at the top # Navigate to a workflow activity folder # Right-click on the folder node in the tree and select *New > Activity* You should now see the new node in the tree. # Make any necessary changes to the name and/or description in the fields at the top. # Click *Save* to save any changes from the previous step. # Click *Run Workflow Designer* to launch the Workflow Designer application. # Review and make any changes necessary. # Choose *File > Save* to save these changes back to the server. # Close the Workflow Designer application. h4. Uninstalling Workflow Designer If for some reason you no longer need the Workflow Designer application, it can be removed through the Control Panel options to Uninstall Programs. # Open the *Control Panel*. # Click on the *Uninstall a program* option. # Locate the product named *Arellia Workflow Designer". # Click Uninstall. |
