Arellia can connect to VirusTotal and query for file ratings. To configure the VirusTotal connection in Arellia do the following:

  1. Go to https://www.virustotal.com/ and request an API key.
  2. Then open the Arellia Security Manager console and navigate to Configuration Tab > Foreign Software Systems > User Credentials
  3. Select New > User Credential 
  4. Set the Account Name to VirusTotal and set the Password to the API key to VirusTotal

  5. Save the Credential
  6. Navigate to Configuration Tab > Settings > Configuration > Service Providers > VirusTotal Rating Provider
  7. Set the Credentials to the new VirusTotal Credential

  8. (optional) You can also change the rating thresholds to meet the needs of your environment.
  9. Save the settings
