Installing the Web Platform Installer (if ALL Prerequisites are Installed)

  1. Open the Web Platform Installer and select Options in the bottom right

    Warning

    The options menu must be opened directly from the Web Platform Installer, not IIS. See Error saving Web Platform Settings in IIS

  2. Leave the Primary Feed as default.
  3. In the Custom Feed, type in: http://nuget.arellia.com/WebPlatformFeed and then click the Add Feed button.

    Note

    Steps 4 and 5 are only required if you want Web Platform Installer to setup the SQL database and login. They are not required if your database has already been created and provisioned with a SQL login. If you do enable remote database support Web Platform Installer will require your SQL server sa account password to proceed.

  4. (optional) Check the 'enable remote database support' option if you want the Web Platform Installer to provision your database configuration.
  5. (optional) Enter the name of your SQL server in the Remote database server name. If the SQL server is local you can use localhost
  6. Close the Change Options dialog by clicking OK
  7. Then close the Web Platform Installer.
  8. Open the Internet Information Server (IIS). In the left tree, navigate to the Default Web Site.
  9. From the Default Web Site, select Web Platform Installer.
  10. IMPORTANT: You must open the Web Platform Installer from within IIS Manager in order for the installation to work
