Design
The Arellia Thycotic Management Server (AMSTMS) runs on Windows-based servers. It comprises a number of extensible .NET components that run on Internet Information Services (IIS), along with agent components that install as a service on managed computers.
The server utilizes Microsoft SQL Server as a database. You can install it locally on the AMS TMS or remotely (off-box).

Interacting with the server
After you install the server you can perform most work, such as setting up the database and installing products on the AMS, from your desktop browser without remotely accessing the server console.
