Creating a provisioned account with a static password enables an element of immediacy and freedom to that account. Because static password provisioning is less secure than applying the Password Randomization Policy to all users, static password provisioning is used when an account needs access to a particular project.

To Create a Provisioned User with a Static Password
- From the Arellia Security Management Console, go to the Policies tab.
- Navigate to Arellia / Local Security / Resources / Provisioned Users. You can either create a new Provisioned User or Modify an existing Provisioned User.
To create a static password
- Under Settings, choose the type of Account the static password will be applied to.
- Type in the static password.
- Confirm the static password.
- Make sure that the Provisioned User does not have to change the password at the next logon.
- Check the Password never expires check box.
- To apply the settings, click Save.
