Viewing Remediation Results

Remediation is handled through a Task Management job that is created for each computer. If your security policy has the Remediate option chosen, the server will analyze the results of the assessment. If the server detects that it can remediate the failed checks, it will build a job for that computer and insert the remediation action necessary into that job. See Approving Remediation for the steps to approve this job to be sent to the computer.

Once the remediation job completes, the results can be viewed within the job output to validate the remediation steps completed successfully.

Steps

When analysis returns non-compliant results remediation will be attempted based on configured actions. After approving remediation a task is generated for each computer. Follow these steps to view the status of a remediation task:

  1. Open the Arellia Security Manager console.
  2. Select the Tasks tab.
  3. On the left, select the Jobs and Tasks section.
  4. In the tree, navigate to Jobs and Tasks > Arellia > Client Tasks > Security Analysis > Remediation JobsTasks > Generated.
  5. Click on the computer's remediation job.
