Local User Provisioning Policy

You can use the Local User Provisioning policy to randomly change a local account password on a pre-defined basis.

To access this page

  1. Click the Tasks tab.
  2. In the left pane, select Tasks > Security Management > Local Security >
    Window> Window.
  3. Right-click Local User Tasks and select New Local User Provisioning Policy.

Item

Description

Enable

Enable the policy.

Name

Provisioning Policy name. Description Provisioning Policy description.

Applies To

Click to open the Collection Selector dialog to select the collection
you want the policy to apply to.

Note

We don't recommend changing the default collection.

Provision Users

Click to open the Selector dialog and add the users you want to provision and then click OK.

Provision Groups

Click to open the Selector dialog and add the groups you want to provision and then click OK.

Provision Interval

Select the interval between provisioning. Enter the time and select the format in Seconds, Minutes, Hours, or Days in the drop-down list.

Apply

Click to save changes.

Create a local user provisioning policy

To create a Local User Provisioning Policy

  1. Click the Tasks tab.
  2. In the left pane, select Tasks > Security Management > Local Security >
    Window.
  3. Right-click Local User Tasks and select New Local User Provisioning Policy.
  4. In the right pane, select Enable and enter a policy name and description in the fields provided.
  5. Click the Applies To pencil icon to open the Collection Selector dialog and select the collection you want to apply the policy to.
  6. Click the Provision Users pencil icon to open the Selector dialog, add the users you want to provision, and then click OK.
  7. Click the Provision Groups pencil icon to open the Selector dialog, add the groups you want to provision, and then click OK.
  8. Click Apply to save the changes.
