Thycotic optimizes the resource discovery process for both agents and servers. Thycotic discovers agent file details once and then uses hashes afterwards to ensure that each agent doesn't keep sending file details to the server. The server discovery process stores known platform configurations and can instantly recognize server details so information doesn't have to be gathered from each server.
To Configure Resource Discoveryconfigure resource discovery, do the following steps:
- In the Arellia Thycotic Security Management console click the Configuration tab.
- Navigate to Settings > Configuration > Resource Discovery.
- In the Resource Discovery Agents folder, choose an agent discovery resource.
- In the Server Discoverer folder, choose a server discovery resource.
