Creating a Set Active Directory User Password Task

The Set Active Directory User Password task is used to set randomized or static passwords for Active Directory accounts. To create a task, do the following steps:

1. Go to Arellia Security Manager and click

1. the Tasks tab.
2. Right-click Jobs and Tasks > Arellia > Directory Services and select New > Task.
3. Click on the Arellia > Directory Services > Set Active Directory User Password task template.

4. Click

1. the Click to Select link for User and select an Active Directory account. An Active Directory Synchronization must be performed to select Active Directory accounts
2. Enter a password in the Password and Confirm Password fields to set a static password. To set a random password, leave the fields blank.
3. Click the OK button to create the task.
4. Run the task to set the password for the Active Directory account.
