The Environment Variable environment variable action sets an environment variable of a process which for processes that could change the behavior of an application, or be caught by an Environment Variable filter in another policy.
After you create a new Environment Variable environment variable action you can configure the Name of the action, environment variable Name, and environment Value. The New Environment Variable Action appears in the list under Environment Variables, as shown in the following screenshot.
To create a new environment variable action, do the following steps:
- Click the Policies tab.
- In the file library in the left sidebar navigate to Policies > Thycotic Solutions > Application Control > Actions.
- Right-click Environment Variables and click New > Set Environment Variable Action.
- In the Create Itemdialog box, enter a Name and Description for the new variable action.
- Click OK.
- Enter the Settings for the new variable action.
- Click Save.
