Manual Security Ratings are generally not used, but are included for backward compatibility with ACS 6.1. Typically combinations of Reference System whitelists, Package Contents whitelists and trust based Dynamic Filters are used instead of manual Security Ratings. |
Application Control Solution (ACS) lets you rate all discovered applications. You can add them to rate executables as Blacklist, WhitelistOrangelist, Unclassified or Graylist collections, which Whitelist which automatically adds them to the appropriate collections. These manual security rating collections can be used for filtering when creating Application Control policies.
To manage the applications:
- Go to Arellia Security Manager and click on Once you are in Arellia select the Policies tab
- Select Policies > Select Arellia > Application Control > Windows > Application Control Tasks > Application Filters > Inventory Application Control > Filters > Inventory Filters > Security Rated
To rate an application's security, do the following:
- In the right pane, rightAnyway where a file is listed in a report you can right-click the application file you want to manage in the list and select Security Rating and alter its manual security rating by selecting the menu options: Security Rated > Blacklist, Graylist Orangelist, Unclassified, or Whitelist.
