Manual Security Ratings are generally not used, but are included for backward compatibility with ACS 6.1. Typically combinations of Reference System whitelists, Package Contents whitelists and trust based Dynamic Filters are used instead of manual Security Ratings. |
Application Control Solution lets you rate all discovered applications. You can add them to rate executables as Blacklist, WhitelistOrangelist, Unclassified or Graylist collections, which Whitelist which automatically adds them to the appropriate collections. These Manual Security Rating collections can be used for filtering when creating Application Control policies.
To manage the applications:
- Once you are in Arellia > Application Control select the Policies tab
- Select Arellia > Application Control > Application Filters > Inventory Filters > Security Rated
To rate an application's security:
- In the right pane, Anyway where a file is listed in a report you can right-click the application file you want to manage in the list and select and alter its manual security rating by selecting the menu options: Security Rated > Blacklist, Orangelist, Unclassified, or Whitelist.
