Application Control Agent Rollout, Uninstall or Upgrade page

This is a generic policy that can be used for several things, including agent rollout and uninstallation, and solution agent rollout, upgrade, and uninstallation.

To access the rollout page:

  • Once you are in Arellia > Application Control select the Configuration tab
  • Select Application Control Agent For Windows > Application Control Agent Rollout
  • Select which application you wish to install

Enable

Select to enable the policy using the on On/ off Off toggle.

Name

Name of the policy.

Description

Description of the policy.

Package name

Specifies the package that is used by the policy.

Program Name name

Name of the program to run. The list of available options in the drop-down list depends on the package name.

Applies Apply to Collection

Specifies the collection to which the policy applies. Click the link to open the Collection Selector dialog. Note -

Package Multicast

Specifies the disabling of multicasting when downloading packages.

Scheduling Schedule

Run the policy according to a schedule. Run the schedule as soon as possible and set up a schedule for it to be run. There are extra schedule options you can choose from:

  • Run once ASAP - Run the policy as soon as the package has been downloaded to the managed computer and the run conditions have been met. This option creates a mandatory policy that does not display a dialog on the managed computer before running.
  • User can run - Permits the user to run the policy immediately when it becomes available.
  • Notify user when the task is available - Notify the user when this policy becomes available to run. The user can then control when to run the policy.
  • Warn before running - Warn the user before a policy is run. The user can then choose to cancel the task, run the task immediately, or defer the task.
