Issue

During the install or upgrade of Arellia products, the installer throws an error that saysreturns the following error:

( Exception Details: Microsoft.SqlServer.Dac.DacServicesException: An error occurred during deployment plan generation. Deployment cannot continue.
Error SQL72018: Procedure could not be imported but one or more of these objects exist in your source. )

Solution

This is a known problem that can occur with issue that occurs on certain versions of Microsoft SQL Server Data Tier Components. See Upgrade Arellia Management Server

Do the following steps in order.

Update components

Update the components (for details on the component requirements and how to upgrade them, go to Upgrade Thycotic Management Server).

After seeing the error above and ensuring that the components are updated, you can continue the installation by re-installing the product that threw the installation error.

Re-Install the Product

Reinstall the product that returned the installation error by doing the following steps:

  1. In your web browser, access the Setup site at http://localhost/Ams/Setup).
  2. Click the Setup link.
  3. On the top right side, click the Show Installed Products link.
  4. Locate the failed component and check the box to re-install the product.
  5. Click Install.
  6. After this completes, you can continue the upgrade or installation of other products by using the Setup page to select the additional products.
