Overview

The Arellia Log Viewer application runs on the Arellia Management Server itself, monitoring log events in realtime. Results are displayed and color coded to match the severity of the event.

Installation

Installation of the Log Viewer application happens when the Arellia Management Server components are installed. There are no further steps required.

The application can be found under in the Start menu under Arellia > Arellia Management Server > Arellia Log Viewer.

Customization

The Arellia Log Viewer supports multiple themes and allows you to alter the colors associated with the severity. This can be done by choosing View > Preferences from the menu in the application.

Rows in the views can be filtered to reduce the amount of visible items down to manageable levels for events that are unimportant to your task at hand.

Log View Panes

The default view is a flat list of all logged events. You may open multiple views and dock them in various orders.

Profiler View Panes

To view the log events in a heirarchial manner, choose File > New Profiler View. This will associate child events under parent nodes, allowing you to expand and collapse the events.

Saving Events

Logged events can be saved and retrieved for review at a later time.

  1. Choose File > Save As... from the menu.
  2. Enter the path to where you want the file stored and click OK.

Loading Saved Events

  1. Choose *File > Open" from the menu.
  2. Enter the path to a previously saved file and click OK.
