The following tables list the AMS hardware requirements per solution.

If your AMS will host multiple solutions add each requirement to get the overall hardware requirements.

For example: The AMS running Local Security Solution and Application Control Solution for 30,000 nodes would require a minimum of 28 GB RAM.

  • Background Intelligent Transfer feature

  • Microsoft Web Platform Installer: http://www.microsoft.com/web/downloads/platform.aspx
     

  • Internet Explorer 9+: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-au/internet-explorer/download-ie
     

    • JavaScript is required in order to install Arellia Solutions. You can do this directly on the server or remotely through a web browser.

       

    Note

    Arellia is testing other browsers that support Silverlight® enabling you to use Chrome and Firefox as well as Internet Explorer.

Software Requirements

Microsoft Web Platform Installer (Web PI) installs the following components:

  • Web Deploy 3.5
     
  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5
     
  • Windows PowerShell 3.0 or newer
     
  • Microsoft SQL Server Data-Tier Application Framework (DACFx)

  • Microsoft System CLR Types for Microsoft SQL Server
     
  • Microsoft SQL Server Shared Management Objects
     
  • Application Initialization

 

Note

When some of the preceding components are installed, the computer will reboot. This is normal behavior and the installation will resume when you start Web PI.
