Creating and Editing Application Filters

To access the Application Filters:

  • In the Symantec Management Console, on the Home menu, click Arellia > Application Control
  • In the left pane, select Policies > Application Control > Application Control Tasks > Application Filters

To create an application filter

  1. Choose the type of filter you want to create new or clone. For information, see Application Filters.
  2. In the right pane, enter a name and description in the fields provided and configure the filter as required.
  3. Click Save changes.

Note:
You can also create application filters in the Application Control Wizard.

To edit an application filter

  1. In the Altiris Console, click the Tasks tab.
  2. In the left pane, select Tasks > Security Management > Windows > Application Control Tasks > Application Filter.
  3. Right-click the filter you want to edit and select Edit Collection. For information on configuration options, see the table under Application Actions.

Note
You can't edit default Inventory Filters.
