Configure VirusTotal rating provider

Thycotic can connect to VirusTotal and query for file ratings. To configure the VirusTotal connection in Thycotic do the following:

1. Go to https://www.virustotal.com/ and request an API key.
2. In the Thycotic Security Manager console click the Configuration tab.
3. In the file library in the left pane, navigate to Settings > Foreign Software Systems.
4. Right-click User Credentials and click New > User Credential.
5. Set the Account Name to VirusTotal and set the Password to the API key to VirusTotal.
   
6. Click Save.
7. In the file library in the left pane, navigate to Settings > Configuration > Service Providers > VirusTotal Rating Provider.
8. In the right pane under VirusTotal Server Access set the Credentials to VirusTotal Credential.
   
9. You can also change the rating thresholds to meet the needs of your environment.
10. Click Save.
