Creating application actions
To create application actions, do the following steps:
- In the Altiris Console, click the Tasks tab.
- In the left pane, select Tasks > Security Management > Windows > Application Control Tasks > Application Actions.
- Choose the action you want to create. For information, see the table under
Application Actions (page 16):- To create a Deny Execution Application Action - In the left pane, right-click
Application Actions and select New > Deny Execution Application Action. - To create an action related to any of the existing action types, in the left pane, right-click the folder you want and select New > Folder Type Application Action.
Example 1: To create a new Deny Execute Message, in the left pane, right-click
Messages and select New > Display User Message Application Action.
Example 2: To create a new quarantine action, in the left pane, right-click
Quarantine and select New > Quarantine File Application Action.
- To create a Deny Execution Application Action - In the left pane, right-click
- In the right pane, enter a name and description in the fields provided and configure the action as required. For configuration options, see the table under Application Actions (page 16)
- Click Apply.
