Can't uninstall applications using Application Control Agent 7.1 SP3

Issue

After installing Arellia Application Control Agent 7.1 SP3 (7.1.1672), some Administrator users can't uninstall applications from Add/Remove Programs unless they disable the Arellia Application Control Agent.

Solution

Upgrade the Application Control Agent to 7.1.1693 or later. The following steps can be followed

To upgrade the Arellia Application Control Agent, do the following steps:

 

Download the latest Arellia Application Control Agent:

X64 link: https://www.arellia.com/software/7/Agent/Arellia_ApplicationControlAgent_x64_7_1.msi 
X86 link: https://www.arellia.com/software/7/Agent/Arellia_ApplicationControlAgent_x86_7_1.msi

Replace the existing Arellia Agents on the Notification Server in the \Program Files\Arellia\ApplicationControl\Agents\7.1\X64 and X86 directories.

After you've replaced those files, open up the Arellia Console and navigate to Configuration > Settings > Agents/Plug-ins > Arellia > Application Control > Application Control Agent Configuration > Application Control 7.1 x64 Agent Package and change the Version from 7.1.1672 to 7.1.1693 for both the x64 and x86 agent packages.

Lastly you'll need to turn on the Application Control Agent Minor Upgrade Policies.

After enabling the Upgrade policies the Application Control Agent will be upgraded on each agent machine and the Uninstall issue should be fixed.
