How to include the Thycotic agent in your SOE image

To include the Thycotic Agent in your SOE image, do the following steps:

  1. Install the desired agents into your template machine.
  2. Ensure that the Thycotic agent is configured to communicate with your Thycotic Management Server by specifying the AMSURL property during Thycotic Agent MSI installation OR post-installation using the instructions at https://www.arellia.com/wiki/display/AA/Setting+the+Arellia+Management+Server+Address.
  3. Stop the Thycotic Agent (and Application Control agent if present).
  4. Remove the following registry keys (and child keys if present):

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Arellia\Agent\AgentIdOverride

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Arellia\Agent\KnownServers

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Arellia\Agent\UuidCache

     

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Arellia\Ams\Policies

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Arellia\ApplicationControl\ConfigurationProvider

     

When the Thycotic agent service is next started it will contact the server (refer to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Arellia\Ams\BaseUrl) and re-populate these values.
