Problem

Trial licenses not installing.

Example scenario:

Unable to install the trial licenses.
  • While the Install License page will say "1 license file found and installed successfully", the date on the License Status page is not refreshing.
  • Page still shows "____________ Solution" status as  "_//___ Expired". Attempted install multiple times, even with reboots to no avail.
Background
  • Tried installing the 30 day extension trial license provided with AUP Expiration date of ________(in the future; so a currrently valid license).
  • Previously installed a similar license with AUP Expiration which has already passed.

Solution 

Remove any existing trial licenses
  1. Trial licenses have up to 90 day lengths.
  2. Extended trial license have less than one year.
  3. Licenses with over one year of length are considered full production license by the NS/SMP and so do not need to be removed (unless there are too many licenses for a solution in the certificate store.  The NS or SMP will only properly handle 3 or  licenses for the same solution in the certificate store.  If there are more then new licenses may be allowed to install or they may not be recognized.  Remove the old production licenses and then the new licenses should be accepted).
