Manage Applications
A feature of this solution is that most tasks, policies, and filtering can be done through the Manage Applications page.
To access this page
- In the Altiris Console, click the Tasks tab.
- In the left pane, select Tasks > Security Management > Application Control >
Windows > Application Control Tasks > Manage Applications.

Show |
The applications viewed in the Manage Applications grid are from the Summary of Win32 Executables report. |
Collection |
Select the collection of managed computers you wish to view applications from in the grid. |
Company Name |
Filter the grid to show applications manufactured by a certain company. |
Product Name |
Filter the grid to show applications belonging to a certain product. |
Win32 Executable |
Filter the application list to show managed computers with the specified .EXE installed. |
Certificate Name |
Filter the grid to show applications with a certain digital certificate. |
Time Value |
Enter a time period filter for the applications discovered. |
Time Unit |
Select a unit of time for the for the time value entered above. |
Refresh |
Refresh the application list. |
Manage Application Toolbar

The clickable items on the Manage Application toolbar are:
- Table View - Only activated when other views are created. Example: If you view the All Digitally Signed Files Report.
- Copy - Creates a copy of selected rows, or whatever view is showing, to paste elsewhere.
- Search - Search for an application in this collection. Enter the search text in the
Find field, and then click the Find button. - Search again - Finds the next resource based on the last search criteria you entered in Find.
- Grid right-click menu - Provides a shortcut for the right-click menu.
- Save - Not active.
- Print - Print the application list.
- WhiteList File - Adds selected applications to the White List.
- BlackList File - Adds selected applications to the Black List.
- GrayList File - Adds selected applications to the Grey List.
- Declassify File - Declassifies selected applications.
