Summary
By default Application Control Agent configuration options are not set to readily test configuration changes in a test environment. The following agent configuration testing allow for more immediate feedback when testing Use Cases.
Configure the Application Control Agent for more speedy configuration and feedback
- From the Arellia Console click on Configuration
- Navigate to Settings > Agents/Plug-ins > Arellia > Application Control > Application Control Agent Configuration
- Select Application Control Agent Configuration Policy
- Set Send Application Action Events one minute.
- Set Refresh Client Item Cache intervals to five minutes
- Click Save
Additional Configuration for Event Reporting
In order to show other file details, not just the file hash, in the application event reports a few other configurations are recommended.
- From the Arellia Console click on Configuration
- Navigate to Settings > Arellia > Infrastructure > Resource Discovery > Resource Discovery Agents
- Right-click File Agent Discoverer and Select Enable
- Right-click File Discoverer from ACS Events and Select Enable
- (optional - for Demo environments only, where faster reporting is required) Select Resource Discovery Update
- Click New Schedule
- Select At date/time
- Set it to repeat every 5 minutes
- Click Save

This configuration is not recommended outside a testing environment as it degrades system performance. It is only configured so the following sample scenario results can be viewed immediately.
