To Apply a Provisioned Group This document explains how to apply a provisioned group into a policy or task.

Apply a provisioned group in a policy

To apply a provisioned group in a policy, do the following steps: 

  1. Create a Local Security Policy local security policy (for instructions, go to Create a Local Security Policy) that uses the client command Local Security Provision Command.
  2. Create a provisioned group for Administrators (for instructions, go to Create Provisioned Group provisioned group for Administratorsadministrators) or a provisioned user for group membership (for instructions, go to Create Provisioned User for Group Membershipprovisioned user for group membership).
  3. Configure the provisioning policy settings (for instructions, go to Provisioning Policiespolicies).
  4. Configure the policy schedule (for instructions, go to Create or Change a Policy Schedule) and resource targets (for instructions, go to Resource Targets).
  5. Enable and save the policy. 

Confirm the group membership has been enforced.

, do the following steps:

  1. In the Thycotic Security Manager Console, go to click the Tasks tab.
  2. Navigate In the file library in the left pane, navigate to Jobs and Tasks / Client Tasks / Local Security.Create a New Client Task that uses the Local Security Provision Command Tasks > Client Tasks > Local Security.
  3. Right click the Local Security folder and click New > Client Tasks.

  4. Choose a task and then click New Schedule.

  5. Set up a schedule for this task to run on.

  6. In the Task Schedule dialog box under Applied To, click the Apply To button and choose the Local Security Provision Command.
  7. Set the provisioned group parameters with the provisioning group. 
  8. Run the task.
