Local User/Group Provisioning Policy

You can use the Local User/Group Provisioning policy to randomly change a local account password on a pre-defined basis.

To access this page

  • In the Symantec Management Console, on the Home menu, click Arellia > Local Security
  • In the left pane, select Policies > Windows > Local User Tasks
  • Right-click Local User Tasks > New > Local User/Group Provisioning Policy

Item

Description

Enable

Enable the policy by using the On/Off toggle.

Name

Provisioning Policy name.

Description

Provisioning Policy description.

Provision Users

Click to open the Selector dialog and add the users you want to provision and then click OK.

Provision Groups

Click to open the Selector dialog and add the groups you want to provision and then click OK.

Provision Interval

Select the interval between provisioning. Enter the time and select the format in Seconds, Minutes, Hours, or Days in the drop-down list.

Applied To

Click to open the Collection Selector dialog to select the collection you want the policy to apply to.

We don't recommend changing the default collection.


Save Changes

Click to save changes.

Cancel

Click to cancel.


To create a new Local User/Group Provisioning Policy

  • In the Symantec Management Console, on the Home menu, click Arellia > Local Security
  • In the left pane, select Policies > Windows > Local User Tasks
  • Right-click Local User Tasks and select New > Local User/Group Provisioning Policy in the pop-up menu.
  • In the right pane, enable the policy using the on/off toggle and enter a policy name and description in the appropriate fields.
  • Configure the Provision users, the Provision Groups, and the Provision interval as required.
  • Click Apply to: to open the Collection Selector dialog and select the collection you want the policy to apply to.
  • Click Save changes.
