Problem
Trial licenses not installing.
Example scenario:
Unable to install the trial licenses.
- While the Install License page will say "1 license file found and installed successfully", the date on the License Status page is not refreshing.
- Page still shows "_____________ Solution" status as "//___ Expired". Attempted install multiple times, even with reboots to no avail.
Background
- Tried installing the 30 day extension trial license provided with AUP Expiration date of ________(in the future; so a currrently valid license).
- Previously installed a similar license with AUP Expiration which has already passed.
Solution
Remove any existing trial licenses
- Trial licenses have up to 90 day lengths.
- Extended trial license go to less than one year.
- Licenses over one year are considered full production license by the NS/SMP.
- There is included with SMP 7 a license removal utility which may be easier than the MMC. It is located in the \Notification Server\Bin\Tools folder and is called appropriately "RemoveLicense.exe". Just run that and it will show all licenses installed and allow the removal of any of them one by one or multiple at one time.
