Arellia can connect to VirusTotal and query for file ratings. To configure the VirusTotal connection in Arellia do the following:
- Go to https://www.virustotal.com/ and request an API key.
- Then open the Arellia Security Manager console and navigate to Configuration Tab > Foreign Software Systems > User Credentials
- Select New > User Credential
- Set the Account Name to VirusTotal and set the Password to the API key to VirusTotal
- Save the Credential
- Navigate to Configuration Tab > Settings > Configuration > Service Providers > VirusTotal Rating Provider
- Set the Credentials to the new VirusTotal Credential
- (optional) You can also change the rating thresholds to meet the needs of your environment.
- Save the settings
