Application Control Filters
Application Control Filters
Policies include filters that identify applications to which actions are applied when those applications are launched.
There are three types of filters:
- Dynamic Filters - These filters are used for specific purposes and users, such as interactive and non-interactive users, and will look at the context around when an application was run. Dynamic filters do not require a specific application to target, and are are evaluated when applications are launched.
- File Filters - These filters are used to filter applications based on their location and attributes.
- Inventory Filters - These collection-based filters are evaluated by the Notification Server and depend on file inventory data. They are used to apply application control policies for already discovered applications.
