Products and Solutions

The terms "products" and "solutions" are sometimes used interchangeably within our documentation, and the line between the two is not always clear.

There are different types of installable solutions:

Products are solutions that add functionality by exposing technology in the form of policies, tasks and reports.

Connectors are solutions that connect to external systems for interoperability and synchronization of resource references.
