Provisioning Policies

You can use provisioning policies to create new users, set a static password for an account and enforce group membership for groups. For example, the Disable Local Guest Accounts policy is provisioning the guest account that is to be disabled.

You can create a new provisioning policy by doing the following steps:

  1. Create a Local Security policy that uses the Local Security Provision Command (for instructions on creating a Local Security Policy, go to Create a Local Security Policy).
  2. Configure the policy settings for Provisioned Users and Groups.

Schedule and Apply

For instructions on how to set the schedule for the policy, go to Create or Change a Policy Schedule.

For instructions on how to apply the policy to computers, go to Resource Targets.
