A Security Rating filter can be used in Application Control policies to force the agent to query the Arellia Management Server for the security rating of a particular file hash.
To create a new Security Rating filter, do the following:
- Navigate to Policies > Arellia Solutions > Application Control > Filters
- Right-click in the Security Ratings folder and select New > Security Rating Filter
- Set the Name, Description, and Security Rating System
- Click OK
- Set the Rating level and Error Handling
- Click Save

The error handling parameters are used to determine what the filter should do in the case of timeout, or a bad response from the server.
