File owner filter

You can use file owner filters to specify if an application will be launched based on the File Owner listed on NTFS file systems. To create a file owner filter, do the following steps:

  1. In the Thycotic Security Manager, click the Policies tab.
  2. In the left pane, navigate to Policies > Thycotic Solutions > Application Control > Filters > File Filters > File Owner.
  3. Click one of the File Owner files.

  4. Choose the accounts you want to add to the filter.
  5. Click Save.

If any of the Security Principals match the File Owner on the file being tested, then the process will be allowed to continue.
