Purge computers
You can set up maintenance tasks that will automatically remove computers that haven't communicated with the Arellia Management Server in ninety days by doing the following steps:
- In the Security Manager Console, click the Configuration tab.
- In the file library in the left pane, go to Settings > Configuration > Infrastructure.
- Click Data Feeds.
- In the right pane click Maintenance - Computer Purging.
- Click Download. (For details about data feeds, go to Using Data Feeds.)
- Click the Tasks tab.
- In the file library in the left pane, navigate to Tasks > Infrastructure Scheduled Activities > Maintenance Tasks.
- After the data feed has been downloaded and imported, navigate to Tasks > Infrastructure Scheduled Activites > Maintenance Tasks.
- Configure the schedules and enable the Purge Old Computers and Purge missing computers from AgentRegistration and Gauges task
Change settings
You can change the settings of a maintenance task by doing the following steps:
- In the Security Manager Console, navigate to the Purge Old Computers maintenance task you created.
- Click the Resource Purge SQL Executions tab.
- In the Parameters column, click the 1 parameter(s) configured link and change the number of days as needed.
- Click OK.
- Click Save.
