File Specifications Filter

The File Specifications filter identifies a particular file by file name and path based on the location of that file, and can be used to target a broad range of applications based upon the attributes defined. Access the File Specifications filter by doing the following steps:

1. In the Thycotic Security Manager, click the Policies tab.
2. In the left pane, navigate to Policies > Thycotic Solutions > Application Control > Filters > File Filters > File Specifications > Common Windows Directories > Common Executable Folders.

You can add other filters to this filter to target a broad range of apps. You can also create a number of file specifications in the filter settings as shown in the following screenshot.

The File Specifications folder contains the following built-in filters:
