Use VirusTotal Security Ratings in Application Control policies

You can use VirusTotal security ratings in Application Control policies. We do not recommend using these to create your whitelist and blacklist, but that you use them to create your orangelist policies to provide access to applications that are not already on your whitelist.

To use VirusTotal security ratings in your environment, do the following steps:

1. Go to Configure the VirusTotal Rating Provider and follow the instructions in that document.
2. Create one or more Security Rating Filters.
3. Go to Create Application Control Policies and follow the instructions in that document.
4. In the Applications to Control tab, next to Applications click Search...
5. Add the VirusTotal filters in the policy you just created.
6. Under Conditions (optional), set the Include only and Exclude only parameters to scope what applications will or will not have their reputation checked.
   
7. Click Save.
