Queries, such as Collections and Discoverers, are used to return data to both reports and other operations that act on this data.

Resource Queries and SQL Queries are common types of queries that are used extensively throughout the system.

Tip: Clone Before Editing

We recommend you clone the query and associated report before making changes to any reports installed by the products. This will prevent any changes to the report being lost upon upgrade or reinstallation.

Clone Queries

If you want to view different data in the report, then you must change the associated query related to the report. After the query returns accurate data, you may edit the report and reference the modified query.

To clone a query, do the following steps:

  1. In the Arellia Security Manager, click the Reports tab.
  2. In the left pane folder library, click Queries.
  3. Locate the query you want to clone and right-click it.
  4. Click Clone.
  5. Type in the new name.
  6. Click OK.
