Application Control Solution 8.1 Release Notes
Arellia Application Control Solution (ACS) version 8.1 enables organizations to whitelist, blacklist, and orangelist applications that have been found through reference system scans, software delivery package scans, and other discovery methods. Organizations can also use ACS to monitor what applications are being executed in an environment and create compatibility adjustments for legacy applications.
ACS also enables organizations to control privileges of applications. Trusted applications can be automatically elevated for standard users. Users can also request elevated rights for applications that don't yet have an elevation policy. Organizations can also remove unnecessary rights from internet-facing or untrusted applications, thus minimizing the risk of malware or end-users doing something they shouldn't.
