8.0 Release Notes

Arellia 8.0 solutions are the second major release of Arellia solutions built on the Arellia Management Server.

Upgrade

• Upgrade from 7.5 to 8.0
• Upgrade from 7.1 to 8.0 by following the 7.1 to 7.5 instructions

Features added to the Arellia Management Server with the 8.0 Release

• Internet Connected Clients - Agents can communicate with the Arellia Management Server through Microsoft Azure Service Bus or a Reverse Proxy.
• Integration with LANDesk Management Server, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, and Symantec Management Platform
  • Resource Targeting - Target the same computers that are in LANDesk Device Queries, Microsoft SCCM Device Collections, and SMP Resource Collections (was also in 7.5)
  • Software Delivery Package Scanning - Scan packages for executables to be whitelisted by Arellia Application Control 
    • LANDesk Package Synchronization
    • Microsoft SCCM Package Synchronization
    • Symantec Management Platform Package Synchronization
• Integration with LANDESK Service Desk, Service Now, and SharePoint for Application Control Elevation Requests

With the 8.0 release, the Arellia Management Server has become a more stable and robust platform for the Arellia Solutions.
