Disclose managed passwords
Random and static passwords managed by Thycotic can be disclosed or viewed in several places in the console. Typically anywhere a user account is listed, you can right-click the user name and disclose the password. Anytime a password is disclosed, the disclosure will be audited and will appear in the Password disclosure reports.
To disclose a password, do the following steps:
- In the Thycotic Security Management, click the Policies tab.
- In the file library in the left pane, navigate to Thycotic Solutions > Local Security > Resources.
Right-click the managed user name being targeted by the password randomization policy.
Tip
You can disclose passwords for managed accounts in the Resources tab as well as the Policies tab.
- Click Show Managed Password.
- In the top left corner of the Password Disclosure dialogue box, click the Copy to Clipboard icon. (You must copy the password to the clipboard because it is displayed for only a few seconds.)
