Install Arellia 8.0 using a SQL 2014 database

Issue

Arellia 8 can use a SQL 2014 databse, however the installation of the DACPACs fail when you install a new solution or upgrade an existing one.

Solution

After installing the Arellia Management Server through the Web Platform Installer, you will be redirected to http://localhost/Ams/Home/Begin/. Before setting up the database or installing solutions, you must copy the files from this directory:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\120\DAC\bin

to this directory:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\110\DAC\bin

 

After replacing the files, recycle the Ams and AmsWorker application pools and continue with the installation.
